This is probably best addressed by a developer, but from a systems point of view when the gina is modified it is usually done as a separate DLL that is chained with the MSGINA. I.e. you change the registry pointer to the new DLL with MSGINA as the second in line to assure compatibility with other calls that require the MS stuff to be there….

Subject: [THIN] MSGINA.dll
I want to alter this to add a button to the logon window. This button would then make a connection to an HTTPS site, where users could do self-service password reset. I have found the resource hacker tool (Man is that thing powerful), but I do not know enough about how to make the change I desire.
Can someone assist?
