[THIN] Re: FW: Re: Tricerat ScrewDriver printer v4, Citrix web client 11.0 and Citrix Presentation server 4.5

With Tricerat Screwdrivers the client can not be older than the server version installed…With that said you have two options….Downgrade the server back to V3 or update your clients to V4…..Let us know if installing V4 client corrects your issue….

I installed the Simplified (Screwdriver) version 4 for the server.

At the time users had the Screwdriver version 3 and could not print at all.

Is there something in the new Presentation server that must be turned on / enable for Tricerat printing?  And if so where?

Has anyone ever installed Tricerat 4 on a Citrix 4.5 server and installed the 4.0 tricerat client?  I believe this is  a security issue but not sure where to look

[THIN] Re: Remote Desktop Users

Make sure TS licensing is fully running and functional.

[THIN] Remote Desktop Users

Ok suddenly users on one server are not allowed to log in because the server says they do not belong to the remote desktop user group.  I have check the RDS group and the correct groups belong.  I have checked ICA-TCP permissions and they are good.  I have checked user rights assignment and RDS belongs to the allow logon to TS.  I cannot see any reason they should not be able to login.  Anyone have any ideas?

[THIN] FW: Re: Tricerat ScrewDriver printer v4, Citrix web client 11.0 and Citrix Presentation server 4.5

A little more information.

I installed the Simplified (Screwdriver) version 4 for the server.

At the time users had the Screwdriver version 3 and could not print at all.

Is there something in the new Presentation server that must be turned on / enable for Tricerat printing?  And if so where?

I am currently on Presentation Server 4.5 rollup 4 with Web client version 11.0.

I have installed the Tricerat Server 4 on my Presentation server and test my access my application through the 11.0 web client with no problems.

I installed the Tricerat full version of ScrewDriver v4 and now when I click on an application through the 11.0 web client I receive the following error.

Does anyone have a solution?

[THIN] Re: XenApp and Metaframe

Do your clients connect using UDP broadcast?

Are they older thin clients?

Are you using Web Interface or PNAgent? Or do all of the clients use Program Neighborhood?

Hi ,

I build a XenApp test farm last night just one server to start testing etc…

When I landed in work this morning non one could connect to the old XP Metaframe farm, the minute I shut down the new XenApp server all connected with no issues.

I was under the impression that the two farms could run on the same network /subnet using same AD etc with no issues so that an in place migration can take place.

Am I missing something simple here?

Thanks

Ronnie

[THIN] Re: IE8 breaks Folder Options in Windows 2008

Yes, I am the admin.  And BTW this is a Windows 2008 SP2 server.
I've seen posts on the web about Vista, but I have not experienced this problem on my Vista machine at home.

And I am assuming you are admin of the machine... I've started seeing some strangeness with UAC again in Vista since some updates.  Is that still turned on or have you disabled it?

This system is not connected to the Internet.  Maybe there is an update that I'm missing.  I'll move all the updates to the isolated network and try to update it.
However, I've seen this reported on the web, so I'm not the only one.

Where are you setting it? Choose My Computer click on the C drive to bring up explorer. Hit the Alt key to show the file menu, choose tools, click on Folder Options   Check the open each folder in same window and go to the View Tab and click the apply to all folders button.  Should work.  I havent seen this.

It does not matter that I set the "Open each folder in the same window".  I did a quick search on the web and apparently it happens to Vista as well, but could not find anything that solves the problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this?  Uninstalling IE 8 not an option.

Thanks,
