I agree.  I think Gates has become pretty funny the way he is openly willing to make fun of himself.  As a guy who has switched to OS X for everything my family does at home, I think the ads aren't bad and I bet they get better.  I guess I'm just too old because I also think Jerry is still pretty funny.  They are building an entire theme here and I think it's pretty entertaining.  The ads won't get me running towards Vista, but I doubt I am their target audience.

[THIN] Re: Office 2007

This is definitely interesting.  I had heard that Office2007 used twice the resources as Office2003.  I use it daily on Windows2003 terminal services/XenApp 4.5 and it works well, but Outlook2007 seems to have its challenges with performance and just seems to go out to lunch on me every once in a while.  Looking forward to trying it on Windows2008 once we get our license server up.

Stabililty in Ts is fine, uses a bit more RAM than 2003 – you may get say 10% less users per box if Office is your primary app- , though interestingly I've noticed it apparently using less Ram on a 64-bit Windows 2008 TS (Whereas Office 2003 uses stupid amounts on a 64-bit Windows 2003).

i can't get used to that damn ribbon.  I think that just as Vista was a step backward to XP, Office 2007 is a step backwards to Office 2003.  I'm talking in terms of users trying to get their work done and earn a paycheck.  From a technical perspective, i understand the improvements, security, etc, etc.

But most users don't care about that.  Either it helps them do their jobs easier and faster or it doesn't.  Office 2007 slows them down.
