[THIN] Re: Office 2007

i can't get used to that damn ribbon.  I think that just as Vista was a step backward to XP, Office 2007 is a step backwards to Office 2003.  I'm talking in terms of users trying to get their work done and earn a paycheck.  From a technical perspective, i understand the improvements, security, etc, etc.

But most users don't care about that.  Either it helps them do their jobs easier and faster or it doesn't.  Office 2007 slows them down.

I'll second that – once you get used to the Ribbon it's actually not too bad. I can't go back to Outlook 2003 now. Also works fine in PS 4.0/4.5

We've been using Office 2007 in our Citrix Environment (4.5) for a while now.  Behaves better than Office 97 if you ask me.  Works just fine with Windows XP too.

We're considering going to Office 2007 next year, but I've heard so many stories about programs crashing (more than usual) and I personally don't like the new Interface (no toolbars).

Does Office 2007 work okay in a Citrix environment?
Does it work well on Windows XP?
Are most people waiting for the next version, or switch completely to another product?

We don't to go ahead and spend so much money on something that does not work.
I have Office 2007 on a Vista PC at home, I've had no major problems with it ( I don't use Outlook).  I hate the new Interface, but that's all.

Thanks,
