[THIN] Re: quick question on virtualization platforms

Ah.... that is outdated, the Major OS's now all that support, Microsoft
calls it "Enlightenment" and it is built in now to WIN2K3 and WIN2K8.....

In my experience (limited) with Xen, which pre-dates the Citrix acquisition
of Xen, support for the Xen hypervisor had to be compiled into the kernel of
the guest OS.

The Wikipedia article for paravirtualization states: "However, operating
systems must be explicitly ported to run on top of a paravirtualized VMM.."

I presume this is still the case, but then again I don't have any recent
experience with Xen or any paravirtualized environment.
