Hi Graeme,

 

Every time I’ve come across this, it’s resolved by adding the server to the Local Intranet site. How about setting it at a machine level, and then you can work backwards and debug it at a user level?

Hi,

 

I  am starting to pull my hair out with this.

 

I have used GPO loopback to enable roaming profiles and folder redirection on our TS 2003 farm.

 

This is all working well, apart from any icon on the start menu when clicked by a user opens up the file open from the internet security box. "Do you want to open this file? filename.lnk" 

 

IE7 enhanced security is disabled, I have set intranet zone to managed by administrator and set up our fileservers, DFS server etc as intranet sites, I have tried setting in policy to set intranet to be all sites no tlisted in other zones, and to be all unc paths, and the template to be low in bothe the computer and user areas of the GPO for the terminal servers.

 

GPO modeling shows this is being applied, and then logged in as admin every things ok. login as a user and the prompts appear.

 

Any one got any other suggestions how to disable this completely.?
