[THIN] vmware-cmd creatsnapshot

Dear all,

IS there a means to create a snapshot of one specific VMDK from the commandline ? apparently the createsnapshot command makes and snapshot of all within vmx associated

Vmdk s. I copied an false vmx with only scsi0:0 contained within and referenced this vmx but this does not operate.

On ESX 2.5 you could specifiy I, the add redo command the option scsi0:0 but on VI3 I do not find that possibility or am I mistaken ?

Can someone help me out ?

The aim is to add the syntax on the cron , and make an file backup of the vmdk, then after the backup remove the snapshot.

As this is a valid operation for your OS (on scsi0:0) but not for dbs (on scsi0:1) I need to isolate these steps to the scsi0:0 (or C-drive)

Regards,

Stefan
