[THIN] Dell Printer

We have a customer that is using a Dell Laser Printer 1720 to Run checks.  The issue is that the check print jobs keep printing out of order.
After doing some research it appears that in order to force the print jobs to be in order I have to load the native driver on the server.  We are running Win2k3 and W2k3x64.  Anyone know if the Dell laser printer drive is going to break anything?  It already looks like drivers will not replicate so I will have to install manually.  If that is the case I want to be fairly confident that I am not going to break the spooler by installing a Dell driver.
