OS or the 64 bit version of Excel if running on x64.

This command will launch My32BitApp.exe if running on an x86 OS or
My64BitApp.exe if running on x64.
E.G. XLaunch "c:\Program Files X86\Office11\EXCEL.EXE H:\MySheet.xls" "c:\Program Files X64
