Spiceworks 3 is coming out soon and should be a little more robust. 

perldesk was my favorite when we evaluated things.  Not free but pretty cheap. 

everyone else decided they liked spiceworks better so that is what we went with.

I've just had a look at Spiceworks and it's just too basic.  I'm not
expecting the get the world for free, but I was wondering if there is

list members may have used?
