[THIN] Re: Using multiple versions of Java

You can make a streaming profile with a different version of Java in it.  It's a pain but it works.  I have done it in the past.  We had one site to interact with that required Java 1.4.2 and everything else was Java 1.5. It's been a couple years and I don't work at that location anymore.  it is easier to silo but a big waste just to support one things.  Maybe on a VM?

have you considered using AIE?  Install the java version you want into the AIE and then when you publish the application simply associate the AIE to that application.

Hi,

We have to implement a new piece of software that the company will only run on the latest version of Java, which is fine but we have another application that we run from head office

that will only run correctly on an earlier version of Java. Is there a way to make these apps pick up the version of Java that they require instead of the default install.

These are both custom written web apps that we have no control over. I can push the new users off to a server with the correct version but I don't really want to silo apps if possible.

Thanks

Ronnie
