The answser for the client is:

 

Due to the tight integration of the Citrix environment and the underlying OS, it is only possible to run the Citrix version that is "designed" for a particular os.  Currently the only version designed to run on server 2008 is xenapp5.

Presentation Server and Xenapp were made to work on Windows 2008. Save
