Thanks for the link, Jim.  Tried building the farm on SQL 2000 and it installed without error.  Environment requires SQL 2005.  That seems to be where my problem lies.

It happens near the end of the install.

I have:

Verified the Database permissions

Verified the password and username

Tried a different server

Googled and tried all of the "fixes".

Windows update

Latest .net

Anyone ever see this one before?
