TSSelfServReset will not incorporate a logging feature at this stage, but this is simple to achieve without any special programs. To enable logging of logon/logoff/disconnect/reset etc
you simply need to go to each server and enable auditing for TS/ Citrix Sessions. To do this:
On each TS/ Citrix server:
1. login as an admin
2. Goto control panel-->administrative tools-->terminal services configuration
3. Click on the connections folder and choose either RDP or ICA (which ever you are using). Right click on the connection type and then choose properties.
4. goto the permissions tab and then select advanced
5. Then choose the auditing tab and press ADD
6. Add the Domain Users as a whole or a specific group you want to audit. Then select what you want to audit - Logon, logoff, disconnect etc.
7. Once you have selected what you want, press OK several times and you're done
In the security branch of the eventvwr, all the sessions will now begin to log the events you selected. if you open one of the events, say a disconnect for example, the following will be
displayed:
Session disconnected from winstation:
User Name: wozza
Domain: CTRL-ALT-DEL
Logon ID: (0x0,0x2AABA59A)
Session Name: RDP-Tcp#52
Client Name: CADCTX
Client Address: 192.168.1.156
