[THIN] Got Citrix ICA Working in Google Chrome

If you have ever wondered and not figured out on your own how to get the ICA client to work in alternate browsers, I found a document online:

These instructions are for the 10.2 ICA client. They work for the 11.0 client, but some of the files aren't used in the 11.0 client. This procedure works for the new Google Chrome. (Which is why I started looking into it in the first place.)

It doesn't look pretty in Chrome as it opens another window for the ICA client to run in, but it works.

The Citrix ICA Client installer detects Mozilla Firefox, but not SeaMonkey or Opera. The plugin is automatically installed for Mozilla Firefox.

To install the plugin for SeaMonkey or Opera, copy the following files to your browser's plugins folder:

  • icaclobj.class
  • cgpcfg.dll
  • cgpcore.dll
  • confmgr.dll
  • ctxmui.dll
  • icafile.dll
  • icalogon.dll
  • logging.dll
  • npican.dll
  • pscript.dll
  • sslsdk_b.dll
  • tcppserv.dll

Then create a folder named resource in your plugins folder, and a folder named en inside it, and copy the following files to the en folder:

  • ctxmuiUI.dll
  • icalogUI.dll
  • logginUI.dll
  • npicanUI.dll
  • sslsdkui.dll

Enjoy.
