It depends on where you're printing.

 

If it's across the WAN then PCL 6 drivers generally produce a smaller print job but historically because the PCL 6 drivers were newer code, they were also more unstable. These days since HP has cleaned up their act I'd be happy to use PCL 6 drivers for their greater efficiency.

 

Of course I think it's inexcusable that Citrix customers still have to consider using non-UPD printer drivers. They should have had the UPD Gateway by now and all the crap we've had with printer drivers ought to be history.

 

I guess you'll have to wait for XenApp 5, for the XPS gateway.
