Indirect can use the UPD, which is RAW and compressed. However, if the print server is in the head office then the print job will traverse the WAN circuit multiple times.
If the print job sizes are excessive as they traverse the WAN, consider ThinPrint or WAN Optimization.

Hi
I have a centralised Print Server in our Head Office with our Citrix Servers. We have users in branches that Print to their local Printers. Jobs spool over a 2Mb WAN Link. Should I be printing with direct or indirect Policy setting? We do not have local Print Servers. We use 1 Print Server in Head Office. We use Universal Printing only as set in Citrix Policy.
Thanks
Ang
