My farm is MPS 4.0….is License server a different version? If so, how do I find out what version I have? When upgrading from MPS 4.0 to XENApp 5.0, do I upgrade the License server first? Thanks for your assistance.

yes the license server is different. You need to update the license server to 11.6. You can log into the license server console and see the version. I would update the license server first, then proceed with building up a new 5.0 farm.
