Nope.. Why would you use RAID 1 only to put the pagefile on a non-fault tolerant disk? If you lost even one of the pagefile disks the OS will crash.
Your best bet with the HW specs you provided is to go with the 4x72gb 15k SAS and configure then a RAID 1+0 (or as some vendors call it RAID 10). Create two partitions on the disk and place the pagefile on the second partition. You will notice a considerable performance boosts over the two scenarios your provided below. (You’ll have 4 spindles Read, and 2 write) Depending on your workload, RAID 5 maybe a good choice (3 reads and 3 writes).
Also, if you are using the pagefile that heavily, they you need to reconsider how your specing out the overall server. You may be better server to scale out or scale up (w/ x64).

Subject: [THIN] Citrix - Harddisk Specification
Hi List,
Would there be a noticeable performance increase if we purchased 4 x 72gb SAS 15k disks, RAID 1 for the OS, with a page file on each of the other two disks, or 3 x 146gb SAS 10k disk, RAID 1 for the OS, and a single disk for a single page file?
Two questions really;
Would you recommend 72gb 15 k or 146gb 10k?
Two page files per Citrix server with two physical disks or 1 page file with one physical disk?
Many thanks,
Toby
