Jim and others,
Funny thing, really . . . We had “/importprf C:\Windows\System32\Outlook\Default.prf” appended to the end of the location path for the published app. My guess is that it was resetting their outlook setting every time they launched it in Citrix. Since removing that file our settings are staying! J Sometimes things are just so easy! LOL
Thanks to everyone for all your help and replies!
Thank you,
Jim Medeiros

We usually redirect that folder to the users my documents folder. We have a separate share on our server called users for that. You may have a GPO that is disallowing that folder to roam.

Jim,
Just a thought on this: MS Outlook settings are usually stored under the "local settings" folder. Are these settings usually copied up to the roaming profile? I have never seen the local settings folder in the roaming profile and that might be the problem.

You'll need to verify that the users have proper permission to write to their profile and user folders on the server.
You must have the following set: Administrators Full control, The user Full control, and System Full control, on both.
Look for entries in your users folder and profiles folder that have .domain after them. (.domain would be the name of your domain) They shouldn't these folders get created when the directories do not have proper permissions and the user won't get their profile properly because it is obviously different than what you would have specified in the users profile tab in ad.
I can provide directions and a script to you if you have this problem.

There are no errors that are showing when you start your session.
FYI – we only publish individual apps, no desktops. It's always been like that here.
Thank you,

Are there any profile loading issues? I.e. perhaps the roaming profile is actually not loading correctly and so the settings and not being written up to the share, but to a local profile….

Here's a strange one: Just recently some Outlook configuration settings are not being saved in our users' Citrix roaming profiles; specifically, additional mailboxes and signature selections. For instance, if I add an additional mailbox to my outlook profile in Citrix it is gone the next time I run Outlook in Citrix. Also, I have successfully created a signature but I have to keep choosing it from the drop down list every time I use Outlook. It never remembers the last time I chose it.
Both of these functions worked before. I don't know what has changed since they stopped working. All these settings work fine on our desktops, just not in Citrix.
We are using MS Outlook 2003 as part of Office 2003 professional, Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 on Windows Server 2003 (SP2).
Thank you,
