[THIN] Re: Does anyone still remap drives?

I just read a post on DABCC about this and that Citrix was realizing just how many customers require the remap feature.  I'm guessing it won't be going away.

Since XenApp5 is MPS 4.5 on the presentation server piece I can't see why this should become a deal breaker now.  Maybe it has something to do with limitations of their streaming product.

I got this from a Citrix SE a couple weeks back, as he discussed the changes coming in XenApp5.

Um, why? There is NO technical reason why Citrix should not support it. This is a stupid move.

Technical reason not to remap....coming in XenApp5, remapped drives will no longer be supported.

It all depends on your environment and what your users will expect.  My last job I worked we did remap the drives but my current job we don't.

Subject: [THIN] Does anyone still remap drives?

Just curious if anyone still remaps drives on Citrix servers.  My impression is that most people have moved away from the practice.  I'm designing a new Citrix farm and wondering what the technical reasons are not to remap drives.
