[THIN] Re: Streaming MYOB

Happy to help James. It will be a good experience for my staff to run this up, so we'll be helping
each other in the long run. Since I've done quite a few of these, I'll oversee it and we'll see what
we can come up with. Give us a few days to contruct the environment, test etc, and I'll get back
to you ASAP.

Cheers

[THIN] Re: Streaming MYOB

Warren, I woudl be eternally grateful!!!

Its Windows 2003 Standard SP2
XenApp 5.0 (4.5 Fp1 or whatever it is) Enterprise
Profiler 1.2
Myob Premier 12

I can get it to profile successfully and to stream it to other servers, and launching it with RADERUN or even publishign and running so far works fine, however upon trying to get the application to open a MYOB database we get "initilisation error" . WHen profiled "relaxed security" was used (after full security) to no avail...

Naturally without isolating/profiling the program it works fine.
I am thinking its a simple rule somewhere that i just need to relax to allow the program OUT to access its database files. . but not quite sure what to set?

Interestingly enough I cant access the 'clearwater' database contained within the profile either, still comes up with the same message.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you

[THIN] Re: iPhone Integration

I can easily add a PNAgent site, however current configuration is

DMZ
Web Interface 4.6
Secure Gateway 3.1

Clients access HTTPS site which is configured with RSA for 2 factor
authentication.
I am wondering if this is going to work. I assume I am going to have to
upload certificate and RSA token to iPhone device. Assume iPhone receiver
is acting as PNAgent
on device.

Hi James

Let me know the environment you are running under (OS etc) and I'll get one of my staff to run
up a test in our big in-house sand pit. We have many clients that run MYOB 12 and we
successfully stream it. Just let me know what the environment is and I'll be happy to provide our
install docs. Unlike those other Aussie integrators, we solve things ourselves instead of waiting
for Citrix support to solve our problems.

Hi All,

Thanks guys, you were right as there was another policy set conflicting with the policy I re-configured!

Changed settings in 2nd policy and all is working fine now.

Thanks once again!!!! J

Woops….forgot to mention that maybe a different policy is applying due to loopback processing, or your change hasn’t replicated correctly. Use either “gpresult /v >gpresult.txt” and assess the text file, or RSOP.msc.

Hi Alan,

When you enable the policy “Prevent access to registry editing tools”, you must set “Disable regedit from running silently?” to No

You’ll find this under User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Does running gpresult as the user show that the new policy is being applied?

What’s HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\DisableRegistryTools for those users?

Hi All,

I have a vbs application running on my citrix 4.5 PS servers that calls two reg files and tries to install them under HKCU, however Im getting the following error in all the user log files:

#----TRIM Context Config----

Begin applying TRIM Context Settings

**Error: Failed to import registry 'c:\TrimFiles\#Files for the Logon Scripts\TRIM_Context_Config.reg'

ERROR: Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator.

**Error: Failed to import registry 'c:\TrimFiles\#Files for the Logon Scripts\TRIM_Global_Settings.reg'

ERROR: Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator.

The error’s for the reg imports are state that there is a registry edit permission issue, however I have amended the GPO to ‘disable’ Prevent access to registry editing tools, however this hasn’t helped.

Any ideas would be great?

Cheers

Al

Does anyone have this downloaded?  I go out to Citrix's website and to downloads and the link is there for Streaming Profiler 1.3.1 but when I click on it there is no download button.  It's supposedly been released since 3/23/09.
