[THIN] Re: Off topic - WMI Windows installer provider

Hey Jeremy,

The only problem is that the WAN links that I have got in and out of these sites aren't fantastic and the idea of shipping CDs out there doesn't excite me much either.

The reason I was asking if anyone had a package was so that it's self contained and the servers doesn't have to reference the head office to get the files they need.

Hi Berny,

You need to use sysocmgr.exe. Place the following into a batch (.cmd) file…

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Echo Adding the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Windows installer provider...

echo [Components]>"%TEMP%\COMPlus.txt"

echo WbemMSI = On>>"%TEMP%\COMPlus.txt"

start "Installing" /wait sysocmgr.exe /i:%SystemRoot%\inf\sysoc.inf /u:"%TEMP%\COMPlus.txt" /c /q /r

del /q "%TEMP%\COMPlus.txt"

Subject: [THIN] Off topic - WMI Windows installer provider

Hi all,

Just wondering if someone has a package for "WMI Windows installer provider". It can be installed from the CD, but I am wondering if someone has a self contained package for it. (Or knows where to get one)

Berny
